Dr Jo Clements is an artist and RD1st/CAW accredited coach working with the arts sector.
Initially supported in her RD1st training by a-n Jo continues to develop and expand her coaching practice which currently supports a broad spectrum of artists nationally and internationally through individual coaching and mentoring as well as for specific projects and programmes for organisations which have included a-n and Castlefield Gallery among others.
Jo has a fine art, practice based PhD and is also an experienced and valued fine art university lecturer. She was co-founder and Educational Director of Artists and Education CIC for a number of years where she managed many large scale projects working closely with artists and organisations including The Bridgewater Hall, Manchester, Museum of Science and Industry, The Lowry, Manchester Museum, Cornerhouse (now HOME) and the Whitworth Art Gallery among others.
She was the overall winner of the Greater Manchester Arts Prize 2018 with her film, Unit For (2018) and continues her arts practice working with film, sculpture and installation. View Jo's artwork HERE
Her written work has been included in a number of publications including the Journal of Media Practice, various conference publications and her research into artists working with regional film archives has been widely shared by those archives at conferences, film presentations and in teaching syllabuses.
